HUBRIS will be perfoming Tuesday night at the "Walk This Way" Fashion Show, a charity event for Becky's Fund. HUBRIS expects to take the stage at about 8:00 PM. Tickets to the event start at $125/seat. From the event's web site:

Hey!!
We need some eyes and a bit of luck!! With only two weeks to Burning man, a member of Radiant Heat fire troupe left her beloved bag of fire tools on the bus which didn't get turned in to lost and found :(
If anyone in the Vancouver Canada area is in a pawn shop or second hand store or someone on the street offers to sell you some fire tools at a too good to be true price, we're looking for a oversized denim bag holding a pair of spider web design fans, monkey fist poi, a fire bellydancing belt, and a fire orb(a wick on cable)..
A reward is offered!!!

Community spins in New Haven, CN? Washington DC?
I will be in each of those cities for about a week and figured it was worth a shot asking.
I will at least bring my glow poi, and possibly my fire ones. I've flown with fire poi before as carry-on, but it is always a risk. Do you know of anyone having problems with poi as a carry-on? |

hey all!
I'm in Chicago but traveling to Vancouver and San Francisco in August. does anyone know of any fire jams and groups AND/OR non-fire spin jams in those areas? I would loooove to meet a wonderful new community while I'm out there. I found some information about a jam or two online, but I have no idea how old the info is. share your knowledge! and if you're out in either of those two cities, let me know if you want to hang out / jam. :-)

Only one more day to the Zombie Rave. There will be fog, UV lamps, live visualizations by Tuna Oddfellow, undead DJ, Zombie makeovers, glow sticks, BRAAAAIIINNSS, music to lurch to, 100 bucks in prizes, glow spinning, and zombie movies. All this for 5 bucks and they have food too!

Hi all. I'm new here. I live in Chicago and I'm active in the fire community here. I've traveled a lot and so I've picked up styles from all over the world. I do poi and fans, I know how to eat fire and do transfers (although I don't care for those aspects of fire arts) and I'm considering picking up flags and palm torches. Here's so pics from a few nights ago. I look dorky in my glasses but I'm just a big dork who likes fire, after all. lol. Hope you guys enjoy! ;D I love the fire arts and hope to meet some more people who share the same passion!

The ZR has just confirmed that Tuna Oddfellow will be at the Zombie Rave providing real time visualizations on the big screen. In addition he will be doing a Zombie magic show!
We now have two Zombie Makeover artists on site to add some more zombie flair to your performances. Small transformations are free, large ones have a minimal charge. Let us know if you have a latex allergy. Best looking zombies will share a part of the $100 prize pool!
We are still looking for more glow spinners. We have confirmed some staff spinners as well as a glow fan performance. I just got an email from a hooper. It's not too late to toss in your hat and compete for a share of the $100 prize pool.
